Welcome to FirstBook Circle: The First 100
There is a particular kind of silence that happens when someone says, “I’ve always wanted to write a book about my life,” and then nothing follows it. Not because the story isn’t there. Because there was never a door to walk through.
Today, we’re opening one.
FirstBook Circle is the founding community of FirstBook.Today – the First 100 people writing their first book, together, at the same time, as the people who prove this whole idea works.
We’re calling this founding energy the 100xTribe, because that’s the actual bet we’re making: one hundred people don’t just write one hundred books. They write books their children finally understand them through. They write books that convince a neighbour, a colleague, a sibling to start theirs. One Story, a hundred ripples outward. That’s the multiplication this Circle is named for.
Why a Circle, and Why Now
Most people who’ve lived a full life are carrying a book they’ve never written, not from a lack of story, but from a lack of structure, and a lack of company. Writing a first book alone, at 62 or 71 or 45, with no background as a “writer,” is one of the loneliest blank pages there is.
FirstBook Circle exists to remove both problems at once. The structure comes from the platform, guided memory prompts, AI-assisted drafting that helps without ever writing for you, a clear path from scattered memory to finished chapter. The company comes from the hundred people doing this alongside you, in the same season, trading the same honest question every writer eventually asks: is this worth finishing?
It is. That’s what this Circle is here to prove to each other, out loud, together.
What Founding Membership Actually Means
This isn’t a beta test dressed up in nicer language. It’s a founding generation, and we’re treating it like one.
Every member of the First 100 receives:
- Lifetime access to FirstBook.Today’s full Legacy tier, not a trial, not a discount, permanent
- A direct hand in what this becomes – monthly conversations where your feedback visibly shapes the roadmap
- First access to every new feature before it reaches anyone else – voice capture, cover design, print runs
- A permanent place on the Founding Roster – your name, your book’s title, and the shape of your story, recorded as part of how this started
- A finished, printed copy of your book, gifted to you, not sold
And in return, we’re asking for something real: finish at least one chapter in your first 30 days, tell us honestly what’s confusing or missing, and be willing, if you’re comfortable, to let your journey become part of the story we tell about how FirstBook.Today began.
That exchange is the whole design. Founding membership means something because it costs something, on both sides.

What the First Weeks Actually Look Like
You will not open FirstBook.Today to a blank page and a blinking cursor. You’ll be met with a simple question, one memory, one moment, told in your own words, with someone actually listening on the other end.
From there, the Circle moves together:
- A weekly Monday Memory Prompt, the same question landing in every founding author’s inbox, so no one is starting from nothing
- Live Write-With-Us sessions, twice a month, where members write in the same virtual room not for critique, just for company
- Monthly Author Spotlights, where one founding member’s journey is told to the rest of the Circle, with their permission, in their words
- Founder’s Office Hours, a direct, open line to the people building this, every single month
None of this is designed to feel like a product onboarding sequence. It’s designed to feel like what it actually is: a group of people who decided, at the same time, that their story was worth the effort.
The Roster Is Already Filling
As of this writing, more than a third of the founding hundred spots are claimed – a retired public health nurse writing about the patients she never forgot, a machinist writing for grandchildren who’ve never set foot on a factory floor, a woman who left a corporate career at 52 to open a school, writing for the students who came after her.
Once the hundred are seated, this founding cohort closes. Permanently. The next wave of FirstBook.Today members will join a different, larger platform, but they won’t join this Circle, on these terms, because founding status isn’t something you can backfill later.
That’s not a marketing device. It’s just true: there is only one first hundred.

If This Is You
If you’ve told someone, even once, that you’ve always wanted to write a book about your life that sentence was the application. All that’s left is to actually fill one out.
Apply to join FirstBook Circle and claim your place in the First 100.
We read every application ourselves. Question three might ask you to tell us a story you’ve never fully written down, answer it honestly, because whatever comes to mind first is usually the right one, and it might just become the opening line of your book.
The Silence ends here. Welcome to the First Circle.
